I work full time in IT, mostly with Windows, Configuration Manager, and PowerShell. I'm also a husband and a dad to three kids. The things here get built in the time around all of that.

Signal Ridge Labs is the name on this site and my projects. It's a place to share what I make and what I learn along the way.

Why put it on the internet?

Because something that saves me a few hours might save you a few hours, too. Or it might help you avoid paying for software to do a job that a small script can handle.

Most of what I want to write about is practical: getting useful information out of Configuration Manager, doing repetitive work in PowerShell, and understanding what's happening behind the console. Sometimes that leads to a tool. Sometimes a SQL query is the whole answer.

I make other things, too.

There's a free PDF workbench, a music visualizer, a site that explains why the flag is at half-staff, and a storefront for my wife's bakery. I'm self-taught and tend to learn by building.
